Unplanned Break

An unplanned break from work sounds like a lovely surprise conjuring up visions of rest, relaxation, maybe travel, sun, sea and fun…………not this time!

Unfortunately, my break was full of frustration, worry and stress caused by my computer deciding to take an unplanned break by suddenly closing itself down and going on strike, much to my surprise and despair.

It is quite worrying when we realise how dependent we are on these machines for life to work and flow smoothly.

I hope the problem is fixed now as I have a lot of catching up to do.

This time out though gave me time to reflect on my priorities and brought to mind something I once read (these nuggets of wisdom seem to sit at the back of your mind until the right circumstances bring them out):
The priorities in many lives have become misaligned. People worrying far too much about that which was inconsequential in the scope of life. They only need to step back and see that no amount of worry or anxiety will change things.

Yes, there is never a right time for problems and challenges  but they will always spring up, they are a part of life we cannot delete or backspace (how great would that be?)lol.

We have to remember how short life really is, be grateful for the precious people and aspects of our lives that we still have , without which we really would have no quality of life.

Hold your current challenge up against these things and you just might see it with a totally new perspective. It is definetly worth a try and usually sets me back on track if I lose myself in the “brown stuff “of life.

Stop worrying  and start loving and living.

The Strangest Secret

An Excerpt from
The Strangest Secret
by Earl Nightingale

George Bernard Shaw said, “People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, they make them.”

Well, it’s pretty apparent, isn’t it? And every person who discovered this believed (for a while) that he was the first one to work it out. We become what we think about.

Conversely, the person who has no goal, who doesn’t know where he’s going, and whose thoughts must therefore be thoughts of confusion, anxiety and worry – his life becomes one of frustration, fear, anxiety and worry. And if he thinks about nothing… he becomes nothing.

How does it work? Why do we become what we think about? Well, I’ll tell you how it works, as far as we know. To do this, I want to tell you about a situation that parallels the human mind.

Suppose a farmer has some land, and it’s good, fertile land. The land gives the farmer a choice; he may plant in that land whatever he chooses. The land doesn’t care. It’s up to the farmer to make the decision.

We’re comparing the human mind with the land because the mind, like the land, doesn’t care what you plant in it. It will return what you plant, but it doesn’t care what you plant.

Now, let’s say that the farmer has two seeds in his hand- one is a seed of corn, the other is nightshade, a deadly poison. He digs two little holes in the earth and he plants both seeds-one corn, the other nightshade. He covers up the holes, waters and takes care of the land…and what will happen? Invariably, the land will return what was planted

As it’s written in the Bible, “As ye sow, so shall ye reap.”

Remember the land doesn’t care. It will return poison in just as wonderful abundance as it will corn. So up come the two plants – one corn, one poison.

The human mind is far more fertile, far more incredible and mysterious than the land, but it works the same way. It doesn’t care what we plant…success…or failure. A concrete, worthwhile goal…or confusion, misunderstanding, fear, anxiety and so on. But what we plant must return to us.

You see, the human mind is the last great unexplored continent on earth. It contains riches beyond our wildest dreams. It will return anything we want to plant.

This is one of the most powerful and thought provoking messages I have ever heard and I wanted to share it with you.

Paula Brett’s 7 Magic Steps To Your Own Info-Product

This is another great product I found online for those of you interested in making money working for yourselves from home:

Hundreds of people just like you and I are nurturing a dream of quitting their jobs, writing an eBook and making a decent living online selling that eBook. There’s lots of ways to make this dream come true, but the most lucrative way is to create and sell your own information product .
The Internet is full of people all over the world searching for information on any subject you can think of…cooking, golfing, raising kids, fishing, making hats, growing anything, for a few examples. That search for information includes a bottomless pit of eBook opinions on how to make a living online.
Almost all of those eBooks about making money online have one solution in common: In order to succeed online, you have to create and sell your own information products. That’s it in a nutshell.
Write your own eBooks and sell them. You get to keep all the money
There’s several really hot benefits to creating your own eBook.
The number one benefit is that it can bring you a steady income for a very long time.
Another attractive benefit is that you can actually write it at home, in your spare time…after work or school, on weekends, vacations, holidays…in your pyjamas.
All you need is an idea that turns you on, a computer with internet access, the ability to search for information on search engines like Google or Yahoo and

Congratulations!
Paula Brett’s 7 Magic Steps To Your Own Info-Product
Now that you have started to take action, the doubting questions might started beating in your head.
Do you think you can’t write anything good enough to sell?
How about, “who would buy anything I’d write?” That’s a good one.
Let’s answer both questions.
When you sit down in front of your computer ready to write the first sentence of your eBook, you will be looking at a blank screen that intimidates you. You’ll sit there for a while staring back at the computer. You’ll play with the mouse; turn on the TV, wander into the kitchen to get some chips…anything to avoid looking at that blank screen.
This happens to everyone at one time or another.
Relax! There’s a series of specific steps you need to follow in order to get to actually doing the writing. By the time you finish those steps, you will be ready to fill that blank screen with your words.

90 Day Challenge

Actually, I am writing about the 90 Day Powerseller Challenge which is a fantastic product I have found to make money working from home.

My goal is to work from home full-time  to give me the financial and time freedom to spend on the things I really want to be doing  instead of juggling my two part-time jobs with running a home and family-waking up every day just to repeat it all over again. I am sure you know the feeling of being like a rat on a wheel unable to escape or change things because of commitments and obligations.

Well, the 90 Day Powerseller Challenge is the product I bought which inspired me to change my life, not solely just to make more money but to enjoy and have a better quality of life instead of just working to make other people rich.

I am sure that you have heard the saying-”if you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got”.

This means that nothing will change unless we make the changes ourselves.

Anyway, if you need to change your life why not take a look at this product. It just might be the catalyst you need.

Ju Jitsu

A great way to keep fit and get in shape while meeting new people and learning the useful (possibly life-saving) skill of Self-Defence. Check out your local Ju Jitsu centre .

You will be welcomed by fully qualified instructors who explain the syllabus and on my first visit, I was allowed a free session so that I would be fully aware of what I would be signing up for before paying anything.

I went along with my partner and we enjoyed the whole evening as the instructors made the training techniques and warm ups fun while making sure we got plenty of value from the experience.

We both feel that we have found a new hobby now with many benefits and are looking forward to attending regularly.

I will keep you posted of our progress.

Welcome to my Blog

Hi everyone,

Thankyou for visiting my site, my brand new site that is as I am in the process of learning about building blogs and having a presence online. This is all new but very fascinating to me and this is my first post.

The best thing about being online is being able to share worthwhile experiences or products with like-minded people, which I hope to be able to do in the near future.

One of my favourite interests is Self Improvement of body, mind and spirit and many of my posts will be related to that subject, so if this is also of interest to you, feel free to return anytime to check the latest news and reviews.

Bye for now

Kathy
